Here at David Clay Jewelers, we specialize in Custom Designs by creating jewelry that is not only one of a kind, but also holds a deeper meaning to the one who wears it. To help you visualize your exclusive item, our staff members offer practical advice and give you the technical details one should know when creating such a unique piece. This process involves more than just sketches and illustrations. It is the personal discussion that gives us a better understanding on what will truly make them smile when opening your gift.
Process
We begin by a personal session with our design staff, where we hand draw an illustration of what we are visualizing. This will give us a foundation in the custom design. After an illustration, our founder and Head Designer, David Clay, will render a 3D Computer Art Design (CAD) of your custom jewelry. Following the CAD, a wax formation of your custom jewelry will be created, allowing us to begin the work in metal. Once we have the platform in metal, our Master Jeweler will begin to bring your jewelry to life, creating each piece of detail by hand.
